According to the Greenfield Foundation for Educational Excellence President Elliott Turpin, the foundation is in excellent shape financially.
Turpin, who is also President of the Greenfield School Board, gave the board an update on the Foundation at the Jan. 23 board meeting.
Turpin reported that the current treasurer’s balance is sitting at a healthy $29,972.11.
“We have approved one classroom mini-grant and our scholarships will be made available soon,” Turpin said. “The annual spring pork chop dinner will be held on March 19.”
The pork chop dinner is one of the main fundraisers for the Foundation. The next meeting will be held on Feb. 15.
Future Greenfield Superintendent Andy Stump presented the district seniority lists for the annual review. He also reported on the monthly FRIS report payments and gave an update on the COOP with Northwestern.
The annual review of the Hunt Scholarship loan funds at United Community Bank was completed.
In personnel issues, following a closed session, the board approved hiring T.J. Plogger as junior high head volleyball coach and Maddie Nichols as junior high assistant volleyball coach. Rachel Kinser was approved as a junior high volunteer assistant volleyball coach and Jeremy Lansaw was hired as assistant athletic director.
The board accepted the resignation of teacher’s aide Jade Oros.
