The Lady Warriors beat Southwestern Monday night, Jan. 30, 64-36, after placing fifth in the Lady Hawk Invitational.
The Calhoun Lady Warriors took a 64-36 win against the Southwestern Piasa Birds Monday, Jan. 30, after competing for fifth place in the 48th Annual Lady Hawk Invitational over the weekend.
The Warriors took fight place in the tournament Saturday after beating Carrollton, 37-22. Calhoun took an early five-point lead against the Hawks finishing the first quarter at 10-5.
Carrollton only managed to score three points against the Calhoun defense in the second quarter allowing the Warriors to take a 17-8 lead at the half.
The Warriors secured the win for fifth place in the fourth quarter putting up 13 points against the Hawks for a final score of 37-22.
Audrey Gilman led both teams in scoring Saturday with 12 points for the Warriors, followed by Kate Zipprich, who was named to the All-Tournament Team, with 11 points.
