The Panthers celebrated Cate Breden and Bria Tuttle on Senior Night as Jersey faced Mascoutah Thursday, Feb. 2.
The Jersey Panthers recognized Cate Breden and Bria Tuttle at Senior Night last Thursday, Feb. 2, as the Panthers hosted Mascoutah in girls basketball.
During the senior recognition, Breden thanked her grandfather for the impact he’s made in her life, pushing her to be her best self and spending countless hours taking her to games and practices, saying she wouldn’t be the person she is today without him.
Tuttle thanked friend and former teammate Maggie Gorman for the impact she made on her life and basketball experience, inspiring her to have fun and compete in basketball her freshman year.
The Panthers ultimately fell to Mascoutah on Thursday, 68-46.
Mascoutah took an early lead to finish the first quarter with 13 points over the Panthers, 21-8.
Jersey put eight more points up in the second quarter, but continued to trail Mascoutah going into halftime, 35-16.
The Panthers scored 30 points in the second half of Thursday’s match, but it wasn’t enough to take the win over Mascoutah.
Tessa Crawford led the Panthers in scoring with 14 points followed by Meredith Gray with 12 points, Bria Tuttle with seven points and Cate Breden with six points.
