The junior high Warrior cheerleaders hosted a pep rally Friday afternoon to send the eighth grade basketball boys off to their State Tournament. All faculty and students from Calhoun Unit 40 Elementary, Jr. High and High school attended as well as the upper grades from St. Norbert’s School.
The team traveled to Kankakee to play against Decatur Robinson in the Elite Eight. Although Calhoun didn’t win, they still had a successful season. This is the second year in a row the team made a state appearance.
The team was escorted through town on a firetruck upon their return home from the game.
