From the desk of Pastor David Slagle – 217-473-1892.
It is good to be back and sharing a few words with you. I took some time away because cataracts in both eyes were making it difficult to read, write and type. My surgery started on Feb. 5 and then on Feb. 19 with eye drops, finishing just this past week. Doing real well. God is truly great.
Our Wednesday morning Bible study resumes this Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome. Any questions, please call.
Be sure to circle March 26 on your calendar, as the singing group 2 by 2 will be in concert at our church that morning.
More information will be posted as time draws closer, also watch for posts on Facebook. Our text this morning was from 2 Kings 4:1-7- “God’s supply in the midst of poverty.” These seven verses share some valuable lessons for the Christian, from faith to obedience. Our recent prayer needs are George Campbell, Chase, Dorothy, Harolda and Jane and Tina, neighbor whose father died, Randy and Diane.
We invite you to join us each Sunday morning at 10:30 for our worship service and Wednesday mornings at 9:30 a.m. for our Bible study. God bless. God is good.
