The following police reports were filed between February 17 and February 23. These reports are public information and are obtained from the Jersey County Circuit Clerk’s office. All individuals have been arrested and charged, or cited in the case of traffic violations. All are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

The following individuals were charged with a felony:
Choat, Stephanie N., dob 7-28-1986, possess an amount of controlled substance except (A)/(D), possession of hypodermic/syringe/needles/1st., driving on suspended license.
Deneef, Jon G., dob 3-28-1986, possess an amount of controlled substance except (A)/(D), possession of hypodermic/syringe/needles/1st.
Fish, Benny E., Jr., dob 9-01-1974, driving revoked/suspended DUI/SSS 3rd.
Taviner, Dirk D., dob 8-05-1971, possession of meth less than five grams.

The following individual was charged with a misdemeanor:
Stayner Gates, Jessica L., dob 5-30-1997, operate without license/registration, operate uninsured motor vehicle.

The following individuals were charge with ordinance violation:
Baker, Caden, dob n/a, two charges of inoperable vehicle.
Pickel, Derek Raymond, dob 5-20-2004, possession of drug paraphernalia.
Weller, Danielle Nicole, dob 10-05-1987, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cannabis less than 10 grams.
Wilson, Deven Michael, dob 10-06-2001, possession of cannabis less than 10 grams.

The following individuals were charged with a major traffic violation:
Desherlia, Ashley Nicole, dob 6-03-1992, operate vehicle registration suspended/2nd.
Gaunt, Cadee J., dob 4-11-2004, speeding 26-34 mph over limit.
Hale, Jesse E., dob 12-07-1983, driver’s license expired more than a year, violation of license classification for 1st and 2nd division vehicles.
Hewitt, Korina M., dob 3-24-1987, canceled/revoked/suspended registration/IL, operate uninsured motor vehicle.
Jimenez, Ethan N., dob 8-15-2001, speeding 26-34 mph over limit.
Kirby, Justin W., dob 2-18-1979, two charges of driving on a suspended license; operate uninsured motor vehicle, no valid registration/1st and 2nd.
Mantor, Jacob R., dob 2-19-2001, speeding 35+ mph over limit.
Pocklington, Victoria Kay, dob 7-26-1974, operate vehicle registration suspended/2nd.
Shields, Daniel L., dob 5-28-1981, driving on revoked license.
Skiff, Michael D., dob 3-18-1979, driving on revoked license.
