Make plans this Saturday evening for St. Anselm’s Cemetery Game Night. Doors open at 5 p.m. and games begin at 6 p.m. Always a fun night supporting a great cause.
It’s getting close to time for the Calhoun Entertainment Company’s Spring Musical, “9 to 5.” Get those tickets bought. Shows will be March 24, 25 and 26 at the Center for American Archeology Gym. This is one of our favorite times of the year here in Kampsville. We always look forward to it.
St. John’s Lutheran will hold their Annual Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, April 8, beginning at 1 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church. Anyone wanting to donate candy for the eggs please let me know.
A great crowd attended the Kampsville American Legion Fish Fry Friday evening. Don’t forget we are searching for a new queen, so get those tickets bought.
A benefit is being planned for Rich “Wolf” Grissom and family to help with Betty’s Funeral expenses. It will be held May 13 at Tucker’s Pub in Eldred. Wolf has volunteered to play at so many benefits over the years for free, always willing to help people out. Anyone wanting to donate a basket or raffle item, please let Barb Garner Bailey know.
Congratulations to Samantha Kaufman, Calhoun High School’s DAR Recipient. Samantha is the daughter of Samual and Courtney Kaufman of Kampsville.
Congratulations to Lady Warriors, Audrey Gilman, Kat Zipprich and Jaelyn Hill, on being chosen to the WIVC all tournament team.
KayDence Williams made Warrior history this past Saturday, being the only girl from Calhoun and the only Warrior Cheerleader to compete in the Jerseyville Power Meet. Cheerleading Coach Lindsey Taul has been training with KayDence this past year to help her reach her goals. Great job ladies.
Continue prayers for Bob Banghart, Kurt Roth, Jerry Crader, Kathryn Chapman, Joyce Blumenberg, Zel Blumenberg, Joe Gress, Raymond Sievers, Isabel McGlaughin, Linda Herkert, Whitney Gibson and Cassie Blackwell.
