The Pittsfield High School boys basketball team raised $5,387 for the Illini Oncology/Blessing Foundation Department with their Take Charge Against Cancer event earlier this year. Presenting the check are basketball player Caden Anstedt, Courtney Edison, oncology nurse, basketball player Adam Musgrave, Madison Reel, oncology nurse and basketball player Nolan Daniel. The money will be used for any department or patient need. The program started in 2019 raising $2,787, 2020 jumped to $3,300, no event in 2021 due to Covid. In 2022, the event raised $4,105 and this year’s donation made the four year total, $15,579.
