Three players from West Central were selected to the Western Illinois Valley All-Conference Girls’ basketball team.
The Cougars finished 21-11 and reached the regional championship game. Brown County won the WIVC.
Bryleigh Fox and Brylee Lawson each selected to the WIVC First Team. Gabby Sievers was selected to the Second Team.
Members of the first team were Katey and Klare Flynn from Brown County, Audrey Gilman and Kate Zipprich from Calhoun, Lauren Flowers and Paige Henson from Carrollton, Cami Hurt from Routt and Kylie Kinser from Greenfield-Northwestern.
The second team included Gracie Hedden and Ashley Markert from Brown Courtney, Paige and Ava Wombles from Pleasant Hill-Western, Jaelyn Hill and Lila Simon from Calhoun, Lilly Geirnaeirt from Routt, Naomi Lansaw from Greenfield-Northwestern and Megan Reynolds from Triopia.4
Kelly Peters from Routt, who died in a car accident in December 2022, was named special mention second team.
