Beginning on Wednesday, Feb. 1, St. Vincent De Paul will be open every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for people to pick up food.
Saturday, March 18
-Modern Woodmen Chapter 1621 breakfast buffet from 8 to 10 a.m. at Illinois River Dock Restaurant in Hardin.
-A Fungus Among Us: Mushroom Production for the Home Gardener workshop will be held at McCully Heritage Project. This beginner’s mushroom production workshop will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and cover growing shiitake and oyster mushrooms for the home gardener. Participants will learn to inoculate logs with mushroom spawn and will be provided with basic instructions for growing these mushrooms.
-Dodgeball Tournament at the Pleasant Hill High School Gymnasium. Fourth through eighth grade team tournament begins at 9 a.m.; fourth through eighth grade pairs tournament begins around 10:30 a.m.; open division (any age) team tournament begins around 12:30 p.m.; open division (any age) pairs tournament begins after the final of the team tournaments. Cost is $10 per person for teams (six member minimum with the option for a seventh player as substitute) and the cost is $5 per person for pairs tournament. Medals will be awarded for first place. -The Center for American Archaeology museum is hosting the 9-5 musical. The story is about friendship and revenge in the Rolodex area. The center is located at 156 N. Broadway in Kampsville. The Friday and Saturday, March 24 and 25, showtimes will be at 7 p.m. and the Sunday, March 26, showtime is at 2 p.m.

-Legion Post 685 Lenten Fish Fry at the Brussels Legion from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

-Modern Woodmen Chapter 12243 dinner from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Illinois River Dock Restaurant in Hardin.
■ Wednesday, March 29
-The Calhoun Growth Association will be holding another public meeting at the Extension Office at 5:30 p.m.
■ Friday, March 31
-Legion Post 685 Lenten Fish Fry at the Brussels Legion 4:30 to 7 p.m.
-Rummage Sale at St. Vincent de Paul Pantry from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Buy-the-bag for $5 (adult clothing) or $3 (children’s clothing). The sale is open to the public.

-Cash for Roadside Trash redeem date. 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the County Highway Building in Hardin or St. Mary’s parking lot in Brussels.
