■ A Fungus Among Us: Mushroom Production for the Home Gardener workshop will be held at McCully Heritage Project. This beginner’s mushroom production workshop will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and cover growing shiitake and oyster mushrooms for the home gardener. Participants will learn to inoculate logs with mushroom spawn and will be provided with basic instructions for growing these mushrooms.

Monday, April 3
Jersey County Association for Home and Community Education will be having a lesson of colors at 10 a.m. at the Jerseyville Public Library, taught by Valerie Belusko, U of I Community and Economic Development Program Coordinator. The public is welcome to attend. RSVP by March 26 to Sandy at 618-466-3199, so we will have enough lesson material. An optional potluck will follow.

Tri-County Antique Club’s Annual Spring Gas Up and Swap Meet at 23946 State Highway 3, in Dow, just two miles west of Junction 109 and Route 3 in southwest Jersey County. Attendees are invited to come and buy, swap, or sell from 7 a.m. to dusk.
