Carson Kinscherff makes friends with a cat on display Saturday at Ace Hardware in Pittsfield. The cat, along with a few other felines and some dogs were at the adoption event, held by the Pike County Animal Shelter. Kinscherff and the rest of the Pleasant Hill Elementary School track team stopped by after participating in the Ty Rylander run, also held Saturday in Pittsfield.
