The Carrollton Lady Hawks softball team played host to Gillespie last week. The Lady Hawks broke out on top in the first inning, taking a 2-0 lead, but the Lady Miners fought back and had a solid 8-3 lead going into the bottom of the fifth inning. The Lady Hawks managed to tie the game, 8-8 in the bottom of the fifth, but the Lady Miners just kept digging away, scoring 8 more runs to defeat the Lady Hawks 16-9.
