The Illinois Valley Senior Citizen Center honored long-time employee Kathy Malloy on Sunday, March 19, with a retirement party at the center in Jerseyville.
Malloy worked at the center for over 48 years, bringing smiles and joy to all those she encountered.
The retirement party was held in the late hours of the morning with a small, but enthusiastic, crowd. Malloy began working at the center in 1975 and compiled nearly 50 years’ worth of memories, service, and dedication. Malloy was joined by her daughters, friends, and other family members at the party. Malloy addressed the event’s attendees after receiving her service award.
“I feel very honored to receive this,” Malloy said. “It’s so nice to look back on the years.”
