The Calhoun Lady Warriors played host to the Carrollton Lady Hawks last Friday and both teams kept their fans on the edges of their seats until the fifth inning. The game was tied 1-1 with Lily Pohlman pitching for Calhoun and Lauren Flowers pitching for Carrollton. Both were doing outstanding, but in the fifth inning the Lady Warriors’ bats started connecting with the ball and broke the game open scoring three runs. Pohlman was then able to shut the Lady Hawks down and prevent them from scoring in the last two innings to win the game 4-1.
