With a huge win against East St. Louis on Tuesday the Panthers earned their spot in the Regional Championship game set for 3 p.m. on Friday, May 26, at home.\

It’s been a great week for Panthers softball with a 7-0 win against Alton and a 16-0 win against East St. Louis.

Ashlyn Brown pitched a shutout Monday, May 22, as the Jersey Panthers beat the Alton Redbirds, 7-0.
Kari Krueger set things off for the Panthers in the fifth inning, hitting a double with bases loaded, bringing in two runs, and stealing home to give Jersey the lead before the bottom of the fifth inning, 2-0.
Hitting for Jersey, Krueger finished the day with two hits from three at bats, two runs, and two RBI, and Caroline Ward had two hits with four at bats, three RBI, and one double.
The Panthers went on to play East St. Louis on Tuesday in the first round of regional play.
Scoring 14 runs in the first inning for a 16-0 win over East. St. Louis.
With Tuesday’s win, the Panthers will move on to the Regional Championship game on Friday, May 26, at 3 p.m. at home.
