Congratulate a graduate this week
The school year is coming to an end already, as it is that time again for pomp and circumstance in our little village, as eighth grade promotion will be tomorrow night and High School graduation Friday, with both starting at 7 p.m. Wishing all our graduates a bright and successful future in whatever you choose! Congratulations to each and every one of you!
We sure heard the roar of the PH Lady Wolves Softball team as they won the regional championship against Liberty Eagles Saturday. The gals will play their next game Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. against Illini Bluffs in Havana. Congratulations to players, coaches and parents, this is so amazing and makes our hometown so proud!
Big Congratulations to Mr. Alex and Mrs. Kennedy (Moore) Rodhouse as they tied the knot this past weekend. And what a beautiful day it was for a wedding. May you have many blessed years ahead.
There will be a Memorial Day Alumni dinner at Nebo Community Club this Saturday, with pork chop sandwich and fries, this is from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. for a free will donation. Any and all are welcome to attend, come visit with new and old alike!
A Full Memorial Day Service will take place Monday at Crescent Heights Cemetery at 10 a.m. This is always a very good service and hope you can go honor the fallen! All are invited and encouraged to attend. May you all have a safe and blessed Memorial, as you remember and thank all who have helped give you this Freedom!
As this is always the rough part but necessary to mention, condolences to the families of these fine folks who have been a part of this community for many years~ Bill Carpenter, June Springer, and Gary Capps. May they rest in peace.
