A Carrollton man has died following a three-vehicle crash near Kane on U.S. 67 at approximately 10:36 a.m. on May 22.
Greene County Coroner Danny Powell pronounced Kenneth R. Crull, 64, of Carrollton, dead at the scene as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
According to a report from the Illinois State Police, Daniel J. Blair, 37, from Elberon, Iowa, was driving a 2012 Chevy Malibu traveling northbound on US 67 near SE 175 Avenue when, for unknown reasons, he crossed the center line and entered the southbound lane where he sideswiped a 2023 Chevy Blazer driven by Julie A Jackson, 57, from White Hall.
Crull, who was in a 2004 GMC Sierra was behind Jackson’s vehicle and after Blair struck Jackson’s vehicle he spun sideways in front of Crull’s vehicle and the front of Crull’s vehicle struck the passenger side of Blair’s vehicle.
Blair was transported to an area hospital by helicopter with serious injuries while Jackson was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
