Another case of alleged child sexual abuse has been filed in Greene County.
Michael D. Moran, 54, of Carrollton, was charged with Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child, a Class X Felony on May 19 in Greene County Circuit Court.
According to charging documents, Moran, on or about May of this year committed the act of contact, however slight, between the sex organ of one person and the part of the body of another for the purpose of sexual gratification with the minor child being under the age of 13 when the act was committed.
A Class X felony is punishable by 6 to 60 years in prison in the Illinois Department of Corrections followed by three years to life Mandatory Supervised Release. It is a non-probationable offense.
