After receiving a call regarding a home invasion on May 26, at 11:58 p.m., members of the Pike County Sheriff’s Department responded to a home in the 400 block of South Pearl Street in Griggsville.
Upon arriving at the address, it was determined that Trenton D. Slight, 33, of Griggsville, unlawfully entered a residence and committed a battery on a person in the home. Additionally, a person in the residence had an active order of protection against Slight.
Slight had fled the residence prior to law enforcement’s arrival. Law enforcement was unable to locate the suspect that evening.
May 30, Slight turned himself in to the Pike County Sheriff’s Department and was charged with: home invasion, battery, violation of an order of protection and criminal trespass to residence.
Slight appeared in court June 1 and had a bond set at $50,000, 10 percent to apply. He has been released from jail.
