The May meeting of the Greene County Historical Society was moved to June 11, beginning at 2 p.m. in the Society’s historic Lee-Baker-Hodges Building on the northwest corner of the Carrollton Public Square. At that June meeting, after a brief business session and election of officers, a program about dairy operations in Greene County during the 1940s and ‘50s will be presented by Carol Farrow Piper of Jacksonville. Everyone is welcome.
Saturday, June 17
The Roodhouse High School Alumni will be held at the Roodhouse First Baptist Fellowship Hall that is located behind the church. The event will begin at 5 p.m. with the meal at 6 p.m., catered by the Brass Door. Tickets are $20 and will be available after May 31 at Pharmacy Plus in Roodhouse or checks can be sent to Janis Chapman at 226 South Carr St., White Hall, IL. 62092.
