As Carrollton Hawk announcer Reggie Pohlman said following Carrollton’s win Friday night over West Central at home, the game had a “little bit of everything.” There were numerous turnovers, blocked punts, you name it and it occurred Friday night.
With less than three minutes left in the fourth quarter, Carrollton had a pretty secure 30-20 lead and was forced into a punting situation. West Central blocked the punt and ran it in for a touchdown. The two-point conversion failed but Carrollton’s lead was cut to 30-26.
But the Hawks were able to hang onto the ball and run out the clock to push their record to 3-0 on the season. They travel to Pleasant Hill this Friday where they will tackle the Wolves who are coming off a loss to the Greenfield Tigers last week. With this loss, the Wolves record is now at 0-3.
