Fall harvest is here, watch for machinery on roadways
It is officially fall this coming week and a great reminder. As we know this is a major farming community and very proud to call it home. Our little par of rural American fall harvest time can be one of the busiest and most dangerous seasons of the year for the agricultural community. For this reason, the third week of September has been recognized a National Farm Safety and Health week. God made a farmer.
Congratulations to the Pleasant Hill High School Homecoming King Gavin Crowder and Queen, Dani Lewis. Flower girl was Jade Peebles. The Pleasant Hill-Western Wolves succumbed to the Carrollton Hawks in the homecoming game, 41-6.
Also the 2023 junior high softball season came to and end but these gals and coaches ended up regional champs and that is one awesome reason to celebrate. Way to go girls!
“No civilization cans survive the time when its agricultural economy is destroyed,” Lloyd Noble.
