Grace Petty of Southeastern University has been awarded the 2023 Champion of Character Award.
Petty has taken advantages of so many opportunities while at SEU to push herself to be a well-rounded human.
Already this year, Petty has been on a mission’s trip to the Philippines and Quatemala helping women involved in human trafficking and helping educate, feed and care for children .
In 2024, Petty will be heading to Norway to evangelize to different communities as well as to Greece.
While on Campus at SEU, Petty is part of the creative team which requires her to work the mornings before classes on capturing pictures of different events on camps as well as setting up, organizing, shooting, editing and posting pictures of the SEU community.
On Sunday’s and Wednesdays Petty works at Highland Park Church within the youth department. She also dedicates her time to being the school’s VP of the Center for Women in Leadership and is part of Faith on Fire.
“She is not just one of the greatest humans you will ever meet, but, is also highly invested in her team and pursuing excellence in all she does,” Jon Watts coach of the Falcon Volleyball team
Petty is the daughter of Joe and Sarah Petty of the Springfield area and the granddaughter of John and Bonnie Petty of Pittsifeld.
