Brock Fuhler had four hits and drove in four runs to lead West Central to an 11-4 win Aug. 18 in junior high baseball at Virginia.
Fuhler singled and drove in two runs in the second inning and singled in one run in the fourth inning. He also drove in a run with a single in the seventh inning.
West Central scored five runs in the first inning and beat North Greene 15-2 Aug. 22 at White Hall.
The first five batters of the game reached base for the Cougars. They had four hits, received two walks and one batter reached base on an error in the inning.
Hudson Little doubled to lead off of the game and scored on a single by Brock Fuhler. Maysin Alexander singled, scored second and scored on a single by Colby Pratt.
Knox Vortman and Easton Van Tuyle both walked. Pratt and Vortman both scored when Maddox Chapman reached on an error. Van Tuyle scored on a wild pitch.
The Cougars (4-1) added one run in the second inning, three in the third and six more in the fourth inning.
Alexander went 2-for-3, scored two runs, drove in two runs and had a stolen base to lead the winners.
Ray went 1-for-4, scored two runs, drove in one run and had a stolen base. Fuhler went 1-for-1, scored one run, drove in one run and stole two bases. Pratt went 1-for-3, scored one run, drove in one run and had a stolen base.
Van Tuyle went 1-for-1, scored three runs and had a stolen base. Little went 1-for-3 with a double and scored two runs. Vortman walked four times, scored two runs and stole two bases.
Fryman scored one run and had two stolen bases. Chapman drove in two runs, and Brycen Bloxam scored one run.
West Central scored seven runs in the second inning and beat Southeastern 14-1 Aug. 20 at Augusta.
Ray and Fryman both singled to drive in runs in the inning. Fuhler and Alexander both walked with the bases loaded to score runs, and Pratt drove in a run with a ground out.
New Berlin scored six runs in the seventh inning and beat West Central 7-6 Aug. 21 at Bluffs.
