As summer continues, and temperatures hit the upper 80s/low 90s, here are a few core strategies to staying cooler on these hot days: Stay Hydrated – Women need eleven cups/day, and men need fifteen cups/day.

We are ready for an exciting Saturday in Kampsville. The Kampsville Summer Celebration kicks off at 5 pm with the parade led by our very deserving Grand Marshall Virginia Becker. Kampsville American Legion Post 1083 will do the Flag Raising at 5:30 p.m.

Upper 80’s the past week and high humidity, thankfully a nice shower of rain near the end of the week of an inch and a half. Crops, gardens and lawns surely needed that. Predictions are temperatures in the low 90’s for this week. Air conditioners are getting a good work out!

Happy 250th Birthday America I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday weekend. Mark and Debbie Becker and their campers at Becker Bottoms put on a very impressive show on the 4th.
