Brock Fuhler had four hits, and West Central beat Pittsfield 7-3 in junior high baseball Aug. 29 in Pittsfield.
The Cougars (8-1) jumped on top with three runs in the first inning.
Fuhler singled and advanced to third on two passed balls. Maysin Alexander singled and stole second. Colby Pratt singled to drive in both runners, and Knox Vortman followed with a double to drive in pinch runner Brycen Bloxam
Fuhler Singled in the third and stole second. Pratt singled with outs two outs and drive in Fuhler. Bloxam, who ran for Pratt, stole second and third base and scored on a balk.
West Central added two more runs in the seventh.
Fuhler doubled and Bloxam came on as a pinch runner. Alexander singled, and Bloxam scored when Pratt reached on an error. Vortman singled to drive in Alexander.
Fuhler went 4-for-4 with a double and scored two runs.
Vortman went 2-for-4 with a double and drove in two runs. Pratt went 2-for-4 and drove in three runs.
Alexander went 1-for-2 and scored two runs. Bloxam scored three runs and had two stolen bases.
Pratt pitched the first five innings and allowed three runs and five hits. He struck out two batters. Fuhler got the final six outs for the save. He struck out five batters and did not allow a base runner.
West Central also beat Camp Point Central (11-6) and Western (14-4).
