The Calhoun Warriors are starting the season off strong going 2-0 after their 41-0 win against Beardstown last week after taking a 41-0 against Triopia the week before. The Warriors took a 13 point lead in the first quarter against Beardstown with Jake Brannan scoring on a one-yard run, a good kick from Jack Goode, and 17-yard reception by Goode from Earl Elmore giving Calhoun a 13-0 lead. Brannan scored on two six-yard runs, a 36-yard in the second quarter, Will Lorton scored on a 37-yard reception from Elmore, Goode had two good kicks and Brannan had a good run for extra points securing the Warriors 41 points for their win.

“We had a game plan and we followed it. We worked 21 points in three minutes. It’s all about the progress,” Coach Elmore told the Warriors after Friday’s game.
