The St. Francis/Holy Ghost golf team competed in the sectional tournament at Hickory Point Golf Course in Decatur on Wednesday, Sept. 3. Representing SFHG were Adam Robinson, Kaden Medford, Owen Ferguson, Trey Medford, Levi Geisler, and Liam Wittman.
The team delivered an outstanding performance. Adam Robinson claimed first place overall with an impressive round of 70. Kaden Medford also excelled, finishing seventh with a score of 84. Both golfers secured individual berths to the State Finals.
The rest of the squad battled hard throughout the day and demonstrated great determination. Trey Medford placed 20th with a 90, Liam Wittman earned 28th with a 96, Levi Geisler finished 38th with a 106, and Owen Ferguson placed 48th with a 111.
Kaden Medford and Adam Robinson advanced to the State Finals on Friday, Sept. 5, in Metamora.
