Jordy Ray drove in five runs, and West Central beat Christ the King 13-3 in junior high baseball Apr. 9 in Springfield.
Ray had three hits in the game. He drove in West Central’s first run with a single in the second inning. He singled and drove in two runs in both the third and fifth innings.
Maysin Alexander hit a solo home run in the third inning for the Cougars (13-2).
Alexander struck out 12 batters over five innings and earned the victory. He allowed three unearned runs, walked two batters and gave up four hits.
