Greenfield-Northwestern scored three second quarter touchdowns and beat West Central 36-6 in football Oct. 10 at Greenfield.
The Cougars (3-4) host Mendon Unity (4-3). It will be the last regular season home for West Central.
Greenfield-Northwestern scored on 1-yard with 5:36 remaining in the first quarter. They kicked the extra point and led 7-0.
West Central had just three offensive plays in the first quarter.
They scored on 30 yards and six yards in the second quarter. Greenfield-Northwestern also scored on a 52-yard pass play with 6 seconds remaining and led 29-0 at halftime.
Anthony Hance intercepted a Greenfield-Northwestern pass in the third quarter.
Tucker Arnold later scored on a 29-yard run for West Central’s touchdown. Lane Clayton caught a 33-yard pass from Ryker Ford earlier in the possession.
Greenfield-Northwestern scored on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter.
The hosts (4-3) had 390 yards and 21 first downs in the game. They rushed for 194 yards on 46 attempts and passed for 196 yards. They had 286 yards in the first half.
West Central finished with 149 yards and six first downs. They gained 70 yards rushing on 19 attempts and passed for 79 yards. They had just 49 yards in the first half.
Tucker Arnold rushed for 31 yards on two attempts. Clayton rushed for 17 yards on four attempts. Ford rushed for 13 yards on seven attempts, and Eli Crain rushed for 11 yards on four attempts.
Ford completed five of 15 passes for 79 yards. Clayton caught two passes for 41 yards. Crain caught one pass for 15 yards. Arnold caught one pass for 14 yards, and Luke Kunz caught one pass for eight yards.
Kunz had 16 tackles to lead the defense. Jeffrey McIntire had 15 tackles, including one for a loss. Arnold had 13 tackles. Lane Clayton had nine tackles,. Ozly Walker had seven tackles, including one for a loss.
