The Barry American Legion Post prepares for Memorial Day

The Barry American Legion is asking for help this year putting up and taking down the flags for Memorial Day. An informational meeting will be held on Thursday, May 7, at 6:30 p.m. at the Barry American Legion Hall in Barry. Please attend.
Work days are as follows:
Monday, May 18 at 8 a.m. to find and mark holes. Start at LaFayette Park
Thursday, May 21 – Meet at 8:15 a.m. at Barry City Hall to put poles out
Friday, May 22 – Meet at 8 a.m. in LaFayette Park to put flags out.
Monday, May 25 – Collect flags with weather permitting at 4 p.m.
Services are being planned for this year’s Memorial Day on Monday, May 25. Those marching in the parade will gather at LaFayette Park in Barry and march to Parklawn Cemetery, where a program will be held. Watch for more updated information.
