The DMV Mobile Unit will be at the Calhoun Extension Office, Hardin, Illinois on the following days: July 10, September 4, and November 6. All of these days are on a Friday and take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please call 618-576-2293 to make an appointment.
For your Medicare information the following dates are of importance: October 1, October 15-December 7, January 1, and January 1-31. October 1 is when a person should start comparing your current 2026 coverage with 2027 health and drug plans. It is best to compare your coverage each year. There is a possibility that you can save money and most importantly make sure that your doctors and pharmacies will still be covered under your current plan. If you keep your plan without checking there is a possibility that you will be stuck with a plan that does not cover what you are needing. Next week we will cover the Importance of the dates October 15 to December 7.

St. Vincent DePaul is open every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., except the fifth Wednesday they are closed on that day. This organization helps with rent, utilities, mortgage, GED as well as, the food pantry and clothing store. They are located in Hardin, Illinois.
Free Food Distributions takes place the second Monday of every month at the American Legion Post 1083 in Kampsville, Illinois. This is provided by Food Access Resource Markets; St. Louis Area Foodbank.
