The Great Illinois River Raft Race committee recently announced the winner of the t-shirt design contest as Carmen Shultze.
Shultze’s design features the Joe Page Bridge with several rafts paddling their way down the Illinois River. The lettering around the design resembles pieces of wood that have been nailed together, like a homemade raft. It reads, “The Great Illinois River Raft Race 2023,” above the design, and “Hardin, IL,” below the design.
The committee extended their thanks to all of the artists who submitted designs this year. There were 20 entries in total.
