The Bluffs FFA Chapter had nine members attend the Section 13 Horticulture and Livestock Judging CDE on April 14. They traveled to the Scott County Fairgrounds and spent the afternoon identifying and ranking plants, working on a team building project and taking a general knowledge quiz. During livestock judging, the competitors judged cows, pigs, goats, and sheep. They determined whether to keep or cull a set of heifers and ranked animals on their quality and physical abilities. The Varsity team placed second in Horticulture with Maeleigh Alexander placing ninth and Jade Hamilton placing 10th overall in the section. The Greenhand team placed third in Horticulture with Elaine Sprague placing sixth overall in the section. Lastly, the Varsity team placed ninth in Livestock with Zack Evans placing first overall individual in the section.
