The Illinois Center for Autism (ICA), which educates and serves children and adults with autism, this past January began the 23in23 Campaign in our Adults Services Program. This requires our adults to participate in 23 acts of kindness during 2023. Presently, they have completed 19 of the 23 and still have nearly two months to go! It has been a wonderful experience for both the clients in our program and for our employees, and, it allows ICA to be a beacon of hope in the community where various needs are great.
Prior to year’s end, our adults will collect items to fill the Samaritan’s Purse Shoe Boxes for the holidays, collect fleece to make handmade blankets in foster care for the My Very Own Blanket program and collect and create sensory/fidget blankets for those in long-term care facilities.
Please find attached a short video displaying a few of the many acts of kindness the Adult Program has participated in. #23in23spreadsomepositivity
