The city of Roodhouse is proud to welcome one of their own as their newest city police officer.
On Dec. 22, the Roodhouse Police Department welcomed Kaiden Heberling, a 2019 graduate of North Greene High School and a 2023 graduate of Western Illinois University to the Roodhouse Police Department family.
Heberling holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Western Illinois University and recently completed the required Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board 16-week Full-Time Police Academy Training Course at Southwestern Illinois College.
“We are really proud and blessed to have Kaiden in our community,” Roodhouse Police Chief Kyle Robison said. “He has worked hard to get to this point and I hope we can help him reach not only his professional goals as a police officer, but also help create an environment that allows him the opportunity to build his personal life”
There will be plenty of good men to show him the ropes.
“Kaiden will be working with some really good police officers who share the same goals,” Robison said. “We will never be perfect, but we will continue working and training hard to make our community a great place to live.”
Heberling is the son of David and Kellie Heberling of rural Roodhouse.
