The Bob Price Memorial Scholarship awarded nine $1000 scholarships to students in North Greene (1), Jerseyville (1), Southwestern (2), Litchfield (1), Raymond (1), Staunton (2), and Father McGivney Catholic High School(1). The scholarship is in memory of Master Sergeant Price and a way to continue his legacy of serving others by helping students fulfill their career dreams. The JCHS recipient is Easton Heafner. Easton plans to attend Carthage College and study criminal justice. He is the son of Wiley and Rebecca Heafner. The scholarship is available annually to graduating high school seniors in the five counties of Illinois State Police District #18 (Calhoun, Greene, Jersey, Macoupin and Montgomery) In the past eleven years that the scholarship has been available, eighty scholarships have been awarded.
