The District 100 Foundation, now heading into its 25th year, is a not-for-profit organization established for educational and charitable purposes to promote opportunities for students and teachers within District 100. The Foundation awards scholarships to Jersey seniors on an annual basis. The Foundation has also assisted District 100 schools with their “Foundation to School” grant program, teachers with their “Education Mini-Grant” program, as well as other special projects. The volunteer Board meets quarterly, and consists of President Bob Manns, Vice-President Michelle Hopper, Secretary Deanna Bridgewater, Treasurer Kim Loy, Directors Rita Allen, Kaye Bertman, Amber Bruns, Steven Goetten, Laef Lorton, Maureen Shortal-Rench, Terri Taake, and Ex-Officio Member Superintendent Brad Tuttle. The District 100 Foundation has provided over $820,000 in student scholarships and educational grants since its inception. This April the Foundation was able to award fifty-one seniors with scholarship assistance to further their educational goals. As the need for assistance continues to increase, we are reaching out once again to our generous community for your help. Every gift, large or small, makes a tremendous impact, and as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all such donations to the District 100 Foundation are tax deductible as allowed by law.
