The Sunday Mass is at St. Barbara’s in Batchtown now, from June 1 through November 30. Come join us in worship. Everyone is welcome. The Centerstone Church in Batchtown has Sunday service every Sunday at 10:45 a.m. Bible Class is every Wednesday at 9 a.m. Everyone is welcome.

Enjoyed much cooler weather the past week, scattered showers at times but warmed up in the 80’s for the weekend. Great Saturday and Sunday for graduation parties, birthday celebrations and pool parties.

We are now in “Blackberry Winter,” a term for the recent cold snap we are having. It occurs in late spring, around the time that blackberries are in bloom. Temperatures are in the upper 60’s and low 70’s during this week. But by the first of June we will return to the 80’s.

Memorial Day is a reminder of why we have our freedom. Because of those that gave the ultimate sacrifice.
