The Grafton Rendezvous has changed venues and if you have plans to be a participant or to attend as a visitor please note there have been some exciting changes happening.
According to their posting on their Facebook website,”Circumstances beyond our control have led us to relocate the Grafton Rendezvous to a new home on the riverfront in Hardin, IL. We are very excited about this fantastic site with plenty of camp space and great parking!”
The rendezvous will occur on the third weekend of October, the dates this year will remain October 16 & 17.
The posting said the event will remain the same. Come ready to take in spectacular river views, participate in your favorite events, eat some amazing food, and most importantly relive the unique history of the American frontier that helped to forge the great country we live in today!
“Because of the change in location we will be rechristening our event as The Piasa Free Trappers Rendezvous. We will have site photos and maps up soon! The site is located 20miles north of Grafton on route 100 and very easy to find!”
The committee said they are very thankful to all of the visitors and re-enactors that make our event special every year. “We thank you for the decades of support you’ve given and we look forward to sharing this new beginning with all of you!”
