The West Central Cougars will travel to Arcola Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. for a game with the 7-2 Purple Riders.
The Purple Riders started the season 0-2 but reeled off seven straight wins to make the play-offs. They have outscored their opponents, 285- 163. The Cougars have scored 314 points and allowed 154.
“They run the ball mostly, but they can pass,” Matt Coultas, coach of the Cougars, said. “I think if we are healthy and want to play, we will match up pretty good against them.”
Coultas said the team has good speed out of the backfield and their line is good sized.
The Purple Riders won the Lincoln Prairie Conference which includes Toledo, Arthur, Villa Grove, Cerro Gordo, Oakland, Niantic and Argenta.
