Lewis R. Brown | 85 | Pittsfield

Lewis R. Brown, 85, of Pittsfield, IL passed away Thursday, Dec. 23, 2021, at Illini Community Hospital in Pittsfield.Lewis was born Feb. 22, 1936 in Milton, a son of Reuben and Sadie Ruble Brown. He married Lois Hofmeister on January 26, 1974 in Quincy and she survives.

Lewis was employed as a funeral home assistant for several funeral homes in the area.

Survivors include his wife, Lois H. Brown of Pittsfield and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Howard Ray Brown, Earl Dean Brown and Brad Brown and five sisters, Dorothy Guthrie, Ellen Wade, Eva Mae Roentz, Margaret Ehlert and Laura in infancy.
Funeral services are private with burial at Greenmount Cemetery in Quincy.
Lummis Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill is handling the arrangements.
