Bluffs village board will allow bids for their new 150,000 gallon water tank, later this month, Jan. 21.
“We will open bids March 4 and construction should start June 1 and finish May 31, 2023,” Linda Sapp, village president said.
The project will cost an estimated $1.3 million dollars and the $400,000 of that is forgivable.
Rita Brockway made the motion to advertise for bids with Chuck Pine seconding the motion. The vote was unanimous to proceed with the project.
The board also voted to purchase a new salt spreader for the village’s small truck. That motion passed unanimously.
The furnace in the garage at the water plant needs replacing. The village hopes to have bids ready for review at next month’s meeting.
