A Meredosia man was fatally injured Wednesday evening at 11:54 p.m.
According to reports, Robert L. Schwalb III, was east bound, headed into Bluffs when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree. The car burst into the flames.
Scott County Coroner Justin Dawsaid the impact was the cause of death and not the fire.
Funeral services are being handled by the Daws Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of the arrangements.
