Calhoun Senior Citizens Center offers the Congregate Meal Site. The purpose of this program is to provide nutritious meals to seniors that are age 60 plus. In addition, along with a wonderful meal the center provides socialization along with other activities such as Bingo.
Meals for the week:
Thursday, Feb 17: Hamburger Mushroom Steak, Mashed Potatoes with gravy, Creamed Peas, and Cinnamon Applesauce.
Friday, Feb 18: Turkey & Dressing, Sweet Potato, Mixed Vegetables, Peaches & Cheeries.
Monday, Feb 21: Polish Sausage with Kraut, three Bean Mix, Buttered Beets, Tapioca Pudding.
Tuesday Feb 22: Fried Chicken, Buttered Potatoes, Green Beans, Apple Brown Betty.
Wednesday Feb 23: Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, Diced Carrots, Tossed Salad, Scalloped Pineapple.
Discounted License Plates:
There is a program available for discounted license plates. The following is the income requirements to get the discount. Please call the office to set up an appointment. Do not miss out on this change to save some money.
Single yearly gross income: $33,562.00
Married yearly gross income: $44,533.00
Business Hours 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 618-576-9567
Lunch will be served Monday-Friday, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Over 60: donate what you can afford.
Under 60: you must pay $7, the full cost of the meal.
