The Pittsfield Fire Department (PFD) is raffling off a gas powered 2015 Club Car Precedent golf cart this Saturday at Riverbank Bar & Grill to help raise funds to purchase a Jaws-of-Life vehicle extrication device.
Raffle tickets are available for purchase for $10 from any PFD fireman or their wives up until the drawing this Saturday at 10 p.m. The winner does not need to be present at the time of the drawing.
“The raffle will help us to get a pair of new electric Jaws-of-Life,” Assistant Pittsfield Fire Department Chief Jason Thomas said. “That’s what we’re raising money for. It will help us with vehicle extrications.”
Thomas said that the evening of the raffle drawing at Riverbank Bar & Grill will feature live music from The American Standard from 7-11 p.m.
Thomas said the value of the golf cart being raffled off was estimated to be approximately $8,500.
In addition, Thomas reported the cost of the Jaws-of-Life to be purchased by PFD was between $28,000 and $32,000.
The raffle is sponsored by LSSD Trucking, Smith Brothers Powersports, Pikeland Motors, Best Systems Insulators, White Auto Body, Niebur Funeral Home, Prairieland FS, Whitetail Properties, Halpin’s Napa Auto Supply, Courtyard Café & Bakery, Farmers National Bank of Griggsville, John Petty & Sons Construction, Tri-State Car Wash, Pike County Express, Damon’s Plumbing and Moose Lodge 420.
