“The Little Mermaid” in Kampsville did not disappoint. The Calhoun Entertainment Company wowed sold out crowds this weekend at the Center for American Archeology Gym. Kampsville was a busy place just like we like it. There are still some limited tickets available for next weekend, but they will go quickly.
The Kampsville Legion Auxiliary sold hot dogs and chips for the cast, crew and audience and the Landing had a buffet each night after the musical for the cast and crew.
We are so glad to have the Calhoun Entertainment Company back in Kampsville this year. After next week’s performance I will give you the full review.
Another great week to be a “Warrior” and a great learning moment for the Calhoun Warriors Jr. Football players about giving back to the community. The family of Mark Bowers presented his Memorial to the program. Mark was a huge supporter of the program and rarely missed a game. He enjoyed seeing their progress. What a wonderful thing and not at all surprising from Mark or his family.
The Kampsville Veterans Memorial Park is all festive for Easter and it’s certainly enjoyed by the kids in town.
Congratulations to first time parents Steven and Katelyn Brangenberg on the birth of their daughter Everleigh Mae born on St. Patrick’s Day weighing 8lbs. 2 oz. Proud grandparents are Bill and Marcia Agney and Mark and Melinda Brangenberg.
The St. John’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday April 16 beginning at 2 pm at the church. This is a wonderful event every year and we are super excited. Anyone wanting to donate, please get a hold of me.
An anonymous donor donated the Grand Bunny this year in memory of “Redeye”. One lucky child will win the huge Chocolate Bunny!
Don’t forget the Bret Sprong benefit April 9 at the Pavilion. Silent Auction, Raffles and Gun Raffle.
St. Vincent DePaul would like to thank the St. Norbert’s students who helped unload a food truck delivery from Operation Food Search.
The Hayn family Stephen, Britney, Hinley, Harlow, Harry, Harvey and Huey enjoyed a trip to Great Wolf Lodge. Celebrating Hinley and Harry’s birthdays.
Elda Hayn turned 81 on March 16 and had a party with her family.
