Calhoun County Tourism will present the Garden and Flower Expo, taking place at S. Water Street, Hardin, IL 62047 on May 14, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., featuring garden and flower presentations, shopping and food vendors, kid activities, live music by the band Miles Station and a beer garden.
Calhoun County Tourism is proud to bring the Garden and Flower Expo to the Hardin Riverfront for the first time. The expo will be the kickoff event for a year of fun-filled activities and events scheduled on the riverfront in Hardin. The Garden and Flower Expo will have scheduled live presentations and demonstrations throughout the day providing education on various gardening topics. Some presentations that visitors of the expo will attend will cover a variety of subjects including pollinators, composting, herbs, landscaping and flower gardens; plus, all day events on organic gardening and bees/honey. Children will also enjoy the kids events with owl pellet dissection, wildflower seed bombs, fairy gardens and more. The entire event will be held outside, allowing guests the opportunity to shop and eat along the Illinois River, as well as enjoy a spectacular view of the historic Joe Page Bridge. The band, Miles Station, will be providing entertainment throughout the afternoon.
