The home of Amy Davidson, in the 90th block of Commercial Street in Winchester was destroyed by fire Sunday evening. According to Fred Andrews, Winchester Fire Chief, the fire was reported about 6:15 p.m. by Davidson, who had came home and found the fire. By the time the WFD arrived, the fire was through the roof in the back. Andrews said 18 of the department’s 20 firefighters responded to the blaze, although some came later in the five-hour effort. No injuries were reported but two cats were not located. One cat did escape.
